Given Cedar Ridge's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while Vista Ridge is ranked 681st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Peyton Dulin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with nine steals and six assists. Rhett Route was another key contributor, going 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 0 assists.
Vista Ridge's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gavin Howard, who scored 11 points along with two steals. Howard continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jake Pando, who scored six points.
Cedar Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-12 record this season. As for Vista Ridge, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-21.

As for Vista Ridge, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against McNeil at 7:00 p.m. McNeil is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
