Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Saranac). They put the hurt on the Moriah Vikings with a sharp 22-3 win on Tuesday. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Elizabeth Recore made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Recore was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, Saranac got a massive performance out of Maddie Gagnier, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs Gagnier has posted since back in May of 2024. Adyson Campbell was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
