The Marion County Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Adair County, falling 91-35. Marion County has struggled against Adair County recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Adair County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isaiah Cochran, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds. The contest was Cochran's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brayton Coomer, who scored 15 points.
Marion County bumped their record down to 3-11 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Adair County, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-1.
Marion County will play host again and welcome Caverna, where tip off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Adair County is on the road again on Thursday and play against Russell County at 5:30 p.m. on January 4th. Russell County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten matches -- so hopefully Adair County likes a good challenge.
