Basketball Recap: Jamie Delrosso-Freeman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Howard over Mt. Hebron

Howard lost against Mt. Hebron back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Howard Lions came up short against the Mt. Hebron Vikings, falling 71-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Lions have suffered against the Vikings since December 14, 2018.

Howard lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jamie Delrosso-Freeman, who went 5 for 12 en route to 13 points. Delrosso-Freeman has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Griffin Garner was another key player, putting up 11 points and seven boards.

Howard is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-4. As for Mt. Hebron, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Howard didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-62 defeat against Hammond on the 3rd. Mt. Hebron has also already played their next matchup, a 58-52 victory against Centennial on the 3rd.
