There's no place like home for the Dunnellon Tigers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against West Port on Thursday and snuck past 60-58. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Dunnellon has posted yet this season.
Leading Dunnellon to victory were Tre'quori Rollerson and Bode Burns. Rollerson dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds, while Burns scored 24 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Burns has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of A'zyron Johnson, who scored seven points.
Dunnellon pushed their record up to 9-8 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points per game. As for West Port, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dunnellon will challenge Crystal River at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for West Port, they will head out on the road to square off against North Marion at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
