Gonzales came out on top against the Aztecs by a score of 62-55. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Gonzales.
Despite the loss, Soledad still got an impressive performance from Pablo Morales iv, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that Morales iv pulled down eight or more rebounds. Pedro Morales Jr was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five assists.
Gonzales' victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Soledad, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gonzales will face off against the Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in California (Greenfield is ranked 1148th, while the Spartans are ranked 1124th). As for Soledad, they will head out on the road to square off against the Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
