Boylan Catholic walked away with an 8-5 win over Crystal Lake Central on Saturday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Titans as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Owen Scandroli looked comfortable as he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
At the plate, Boylan Catholic let Ryder McCauley and Henry Berg run wild. McCauley scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3, while Berg scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for Marian Central Catholic, as they earned their first away win of the season. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over Dakota on Thursday.

The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jackson Hatfield, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. Adam Wrzos was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
