The Friends Quakers will head out on the road to square off against the Archbishop Curley Friars at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Friends is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Friends slipped by Indian Creek 44-43.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Archbishop Curley, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 58-42 loss to St. John's Catholic Prep on Friday. Archbishop Curley has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Friends has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Archbishop Curley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
Friends was able to grind out a solid win over Archbishop Curley when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 60-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Friends since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
