The Countryside Christian Minutemen scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took down St. John Lutheran 48-33. The win was just what Countryside Christian needed coming off of a 49-27 loss in their prior contest.
Several Saints players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brody Gravante, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Furey, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Countryside Christian's win bumped their record up to 3-9. As for St. John Lutheran, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Countryside Christian on the road again on Friday and play against Meadowbrook Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. As for St. John Lutheran, they will square off against First Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
