For the first time this season, Braden River will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will take on the Manatee Hurricanes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Braden River will be strutting in after a win while Manatee will be coming in after a loss.
Braden River will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Riverview Sarasota, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Pirates never let the Rams get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory on Friday. The game was the first time the Pirates have beaten the Rams on their field since March 27, 2023.

Kaydence Evans made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February of 2025. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.
In other batting news, Braden River got a massive performance out of Cady Jones, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Leighton Paul, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Braden River always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Riverview Sarasota only posted an OBP of .067.
Meanwhile, Manatee came up short against Lemon Bay on Thursday, falling 12-2.
Manatee saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Davis, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. Elizabeth Morgan was another, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Braden River has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 16.0 runs this season. As for Manatee, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
