In what's become a running theme this season, the Christian Academy Saints gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They blew past Calvary Christian, posting a 44-13 victory on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Christian Academy has posted since January 3rd.
Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Claire Owens, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Owens has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Rumley, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Calvary Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against St. James at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Calvary Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Southeastern Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th. Hopefully Southeastern Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 39 last Thursday.
