After flying high against Coral Gables  last Thursday, South Dade came back down to earth. The South Dade Buccaneers came up short against  the Southridge Spartans on Friday, falling  33-7. The Buccaneers were red-hot offensively headed into the  game (they scored no less than 31  points in the three  matchups prior) but the Spartans' defense proved too tough.
  X?Zayvion Clayton and  Javarius Wright certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss.  Clayton rushed for 122 yards on only nine carries, while  Wright picked up 59 receiving yards.
  James Perrone went supernova for Southridge, rushing for 33 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 138 yards and two touchdowns.
 The  defeat snapped South Dade's winning streak at three games  and leaves them with a 5-5 record. As for Southridge, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  on the road.
 As of now, neither South Dade nor Southridge have any future games scheduled.
