It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Beaumont School Blue Streaks ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They snuck past Trinity with a 52-46 victory. The victory was familiar territory for Beaumont School who now have six in a row.
Mackenizie Callender was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 18 rebounds. Callender is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Shannon Shea, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
Beaumont School has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Trinity, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beaumont School will square off against Padua Franciscan at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Padua Franciscan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Thursday. As for Trinity, they will head out on the road to challenge Independence at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Independence will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 535th, while Trinity is ranked 259th).
