Basketball Recap: Arnold Piles Up the Points Against Rocky Bayou Christian

A well-balanced attack led Arnold over Rocky Bayou Christian in every quarter on their way to victory on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Arnold Marlins blew the Rocky Bayou Christian Knights out of the water with a 77-48 final score. The Marlins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 21 points or more this season.

Arnold had a senior duo take command as Chris Noble dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds and Roman Howell went 10 of 17 on his way to 23 points and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Howell has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Finn Lewis, who posted 14 points along with seven assists and six boards.

When it comes to explaining why Rocky Bayou Christian lost, don't look at Carver Knapp. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 boards. McCabe Olin was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards.

The win (which was Arnold's third in a row) raised their record to 9-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36 points. As for Rocky Bayou Christian, they dropped their record down to 4-8 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Arnold wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 68-29 victory against Alabama Aerospace and Aviation on the 30th. As for Rocky Bayou Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-51 defeat against Pensacola Catholic on the 3rd.
