The Tri-Valley Bulldogs will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Weatherly at 7:30 p.m. Tri-Valley will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Even though Kutztown scored an imposing 61 points on Saturday, Tri-Valley still came out on top. Tri-Valley strolled past Kutztown with points to spare, taking the game 75-61. Given Tri-Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while Kutztown is ranked 630th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Noah Porter continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Caden Leonard, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Weatherly ended up a good deal behind Our Lady of Lourdes Regional on Thursday and lost 61-43.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Corbin Wagner, who scored 15 points along with two steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Niko Saldukas, who scored 12 points.
Tri-Valley's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Weatherly, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
Everything came up roses for Tri-Valley against Weatherly when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 55-16 victory. With Tri-Valley ahead 37-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
