The Mandeville Skippers extended their postseason success on Friday against the Airline Vikings. They secured a 56-50 W over the Vikings. Winning may never get old, but Mandeville sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Despite the loss, Airline had strong showings from Ben Taylor, who threw for 387 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and Bryson Broom, who gained 193 total yards and three touchdowns. Kenny Darby also helped out as he racked up 119 receiving yards.
Mandeville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Airline, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-2.
Mandeville will head out on the road to face off against Ruston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ruston is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 11 games. Airline does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
