This season hasn't been kind to the Needville Bluejays, who are still winless after their 12th contest. They fell just short of Louise by a score of 39-37. Needville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Louise apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2021.
Louise was led to victory by Hannah Ochoa and Monica Montes. Ochoa scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Montes scored nine points. Ochoa has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Kirsten Ochoa was another key contributor, scoring five points along with 11 rebounds.
Needville bumped their record down to 0-12 with that loss, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Louise, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Yorktown the next time they take the court. Louise will host Yorktown at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Needville will head out to face them at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
