In what's become a running theme this season, the North Marion Huskies gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They blew past Spring Mills, posting a 70-43 victory on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win North Marion has posted yet this season.
North Marion was led to victory by Brooklynn Jackson and Emma Freels. Jackson scored 19 points along with four steals, while Freels scored 18 points along with six assists and two steals. Another player making a difference was Savannah Walls, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Spring Mills still got an impressive performance from Briana (Bri) King, who scored seven points.
The victory got North Marion back to even at 5-5. As for Spring Mills, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
North Marion will look to defend their home court on Monday against Bridgeport at 7:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in West Virginia (Bridgeport is ranked 65th, while North Marion is ranked 40th). As for Spring Mills, they will head out on the road to take on Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Jefferson is on a four-game streak of home losses, Spring Mills a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
