Baseball Recap: Cleburne's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Cleburne waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Polytechnic Parrots 14-1. Considering the Yellowjackets have won five games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Cleburne pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Polytechnic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5-1.

Coincidentally, Cleburne and Polytechnic will both be playing Oakridge the next time they take the field. Polytechnic will head out to face Oakridge at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Cleburne will play them later in the day, at 6:30 p.m.
