Miller waltzed into their matchup  on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans with a sharp  3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Rustlers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 While Miller won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the  third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-16,  25-23.
 Paige Werdel paced Miller's offense, picking up 11 kills. Werdel got some help from  Gracen Werdel and her 36 assists.  Kaihlyn Anderberg controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Miller's record now sits at 13-6. As for Mt. Vernon/Plankinton, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record  this season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming  matches. Miller will head out to  take on Hitchcock-Tulare  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Mt. Vernon/Plankinton, after both having extra time off, they and Kimball/White Lake will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another  at 6:15  p.m.  on Tuesday.
