Queen's Grant has gone a perfect 7-0 against Monroe recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. Queen's Grant will be playing in front of their home fans against Monroe at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Queen's Grant has 12 straight wins, Monroe has 11 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Queen's Grant is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Sugar Creek Charter 20-1 on Friday. The Stallions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by seven runs or more this season.

Alyssa Steele made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out 12 over four innings pitched. That's the fewest earned runs she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, firing off three home runs while going 3-for-4. Those three home runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Harmony Hernandez and Nicole Strickland-Mitchell did most of the damage at the plate: Hernandez went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI, while Strickland-Mitchell fired off two home runs and four runs while going 4-for-4. Those two home runs gave Strickland-Mitchell a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lily Schott, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Queen's Grant was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .758. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .320 or higher in six consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Monroe's offense. They lost 18-0 to Piedmont on Thursday.
Queen's Grant pushed their record up to 12-0 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.2 runs over those games. As for Monroe, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.
Monroe's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Queen's Grant hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .511. It's a different story for Monroe, though, as they've only averaged .218. Will they be able to contain Queen's Grant's hitters?
Queen's Grant took their victory against Monroe in their previous matchup on Monday by a conclusive 16-1. Will Queen's Grant repeat their success, or does Monroe has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
