It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Ferndale Golden Eagles can now relate to. They received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 21-7 to Mount Tahoma. It was the first time this season that Ferndale let down their fans at home.
Mount Tahoma can attribute much of their success to Tre' Walker, who rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also threw for 181 yards and a touchdown while completing 73.3% of his passes. Brison Bailey was another key contributor, rushing for 84 yards and a touchdown.
Ferndale's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Mount Tahoma, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Yelm the next time they take the field. Ferndale will host Yelm at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Mount Tahoma will head out to face them on Saturday.
