The Southern Columbia Area Tigers will venture away from home to square off against the Mifflinburg Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Southern Columbia Area and Danville, and Southern Columbia Area kept the tradition alive. The Tigers blew past the Ironmen 41-21 on Friday. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Ironmen are ranked 336th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Southern Columbia Area got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ayden Hockenbroch out in front who threw for 132 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 46 yards. 83 of Hockenbroch's passing yards were hauled in by Brayden Andrews, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mifflinburg, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Milton 49-7. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Wildcats just coasted through the last quarter.
Southern Columbia Area better keep an eye on Chad Martin. He was instrumental in Mifflinburg's win, throwing for 285 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 passes. What's more, Martin racked up 143.8 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Jackson Griffith also helped out as he racked up 132 receiving yards.
Mifflinburg didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Milton to a completion percentage of just 26.7%. The team can thank Isaiah Kurtz for the heroic effort on defense: he. Mifflinburg wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 57.1%.
Mifflinburg didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Landon Moser, John Parker Marr, and Hunter Bolick picked up one apiece.
Southern Columbia Area pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.7 points over those games. As for Mifflinburg, their record now sits at 5-1.
Southern Columbia Area couldn't quite get it done against Mifflinburg in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 34-26. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
