The Catalina Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 11th straight loss. They took a serious blow against Empire, falling 93-45. If Catalina was looking for revenge after losing 72-19 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Empire to victory, but perhaps none more so than Donovan Davidson, who scored 22 points along with three steals. Davidson hasn't dropped below 18 points for three straight games. Josh Bronstein was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 17 rebounds.
Catalina dropped their record down to 1-16 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Empire, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-10.
Catalina will challenge the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Douglas has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 202 points over their last three games. As for Empire, they will be playing at home against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Thatcher will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
