Meanwhile, Academy for Classical Education got themselves on the board against Central two weeks ago, but Central never followed suit. They blew past the Chargers, posting a 48-0 win on the road. Academy for Classical Education's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryson Vincent, who rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also picked up 54 receiving yards. Ace Hatcher also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.
Rutland's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-4. Academy for Classical Education has been no stranger to the win column this season, as they've started out with wins in six of their first seven games, giving them a 6-1 record.
Rutland lost to Academy for Classical Education on the road by a decisive 44-30 margin in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Rutland, Fernando Washington (who rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
