The Aquinas Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 43-42 to Coventry.
Aquinas' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Paris Everett, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of K'Lynn Carter, who almost dropped a triple-double on 14 points, nine rebounds, and nine steals.
Aquinas now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Coventry, their victory ended a 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-4.
Aquinas will be playing at home against John F. Kennedy Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. John F. Kennedy Catholic will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Coventry, they will head out on the road to face off against Ravenna at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ravenna is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
