Vision will head out on the road to challenge the Rimrock Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Vision beat North Star 37-31. The victory was just what Vision needed coming off of a 55-24 defeat in their prior matchup.
Vision found their leader in underclassman Raelynn Nickel, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Nickel is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Angel Gutierrez, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Rimrock put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They really took it to Wilder for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-29 win at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Rimrock has posted yet this season.
Vision's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Rimrock, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.
Vision took a serious blow against Rimrock when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 69-16. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Vision was down 35-6.
