Whitko hasn't had much luck against Northfield recently, but that could start to change  on Wednesday. The Wildcats will host the Norsemen  at 5:30  p.m. Whitko is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7  runs per game  this season.
On Tuesday, Whitko got the win against Argos  by a conclusive  24-1. The Wildcats have beaten the Dragons the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Dragons has come to flipping the script.

 Hunter Long and  Easton Grable made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing,  Long   pitched 2.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. Meanwhile,  Grable   tossed one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. What's more,  he posted two  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in May of 2024. At bat,  Long  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double, while  Grable  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI. That  double was  Long's first of the season.
 In other batting news, Whitko got a  massive  performance out of  Riley Harman, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and two  runs. The Wildcats are undefeated when  Harman posts two or  more  runs, but 4-5 otherwise.  Ethen Morris was another key player,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with four  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  RBI.
 Whitko  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .707. They are  a perfect 5-0 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Northfield was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They took  a  9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northwestern.
  Korbin Haupert was cooking despite his team's loss,   getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  home run, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 Whitko's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Northfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.
Northfield's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  Whitko hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .339. It's a different story for Northfield, though, as  they've  only  averaged .249. Will they be able to contain Whitko's hitters?
 Whitko skirted past Northfield  4-3 when the teams last played  back in May of 2024. Do  the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Norsemen turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
