Mulvane strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 50-39 win over the Labette County Grizzlies. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 42-37 loss the last time these two teams met.

Amery Baker and Amelia Carnahan certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Baker dropped a double-double with 15 points and 14 boards, while Carnahan posted 11 points.

Mulvane's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Labette County, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Mulvane didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-38 defeat against Independence on the 13th. As for Labette County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 49-31 win against Collegiate on the 13th.
