Even though the Jordan Falcons scored an imposing 62 points on Saturday, the Farmville Central Jaguars still came out on top. Farmville Central wrapped up 2023 with a 77-62 win over Jordan. Given Farmville Central's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked eighth, while Jordan is ranked 170th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Farmville Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mykal "MJ" Williams led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten assists. Those ten assists set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Moye, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds.
