Polo took a eight-run defeat the last time they faced off against Amboy, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Marcos had just enough and edged out the Clippers 8-7 on Tuesday. The Marcos' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Cheyenna (Chey) Wilkins was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024.
