The Central Spartans waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Calexico by a score of 60-51. That's another feather in the cap for Central, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jared Martin out in front who scored 21 points along with six rebounds. Martin hasn't dropped below 15points for ten straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of David Lopez, who scored 17 points.
Central's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-10. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Calexico, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will take on Imperial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Imperial has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 244 points over their last four matchups. As for Calexico, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southwest EC at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
