The Nease Panthers will face off against the Fletcher Senators at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Nease is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over Mandarin. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won four in a row.

04/15/25 vs Atlantic Coast | 13 |
Sydney Davis spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Casey Eliason was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three RBI and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2024. Miranda Harmon was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Fletcher had just enough and edged out First Coast 6-5 on Monday.
Tiffany Semack made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off ten hits. Semack was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Semack wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Monike Priebe, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Fletcher has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Nease, their record is now 9-12.
Fletcher's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. Nease has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Fletcher, though, as they've been averaging only 3.2 strikeouts. Will Nease keep running through batters, or will the Senators buck the trend?
Nease came up short against Fletcher in their previous matchup on April 11th, falling 6-1. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
