Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Aiyana Boyd-Ghani and Milan Everhart-Chapelle Lead South Cobb to Victory

South Cobb's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Osborne Cardinals, sneaking past 37-35. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cardinals, too.

Leading South Cobb to victory were Milan Everhart-Chapelle and Aiyana Boyd-Ghani. Everhart-Chapelle posted ten points, while Boyd-Ghani earned ten points. That's the most points Boyd-Ghani has posted since back in November of 2023. Another player making a difference was Kimora Starling, who had five points.

Osborne lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Mina Ly, who posted five points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Maliya Washington, who put up 12 points.

South Cobb's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-6. As for Osborne, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

South Cobb didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 33-24 loss against Harrison on the 17th. As for Osborne, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 47-44 defeat against Social Circle on the 14th.
