Softball Recap: Livingston Beats Ceres for Their Third Straight Win

The matchup between Livingston and Ceres on Wednesday hardly resembled the 2-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Livingston Wolves walked away with a 14-9 victory over the Ceres Bulldogs. The win was familiar territory for the Wolves, who have now won three contests in a row.

Olivia Costa was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Alexis Ross also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Livingston always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .529 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Livingston's record now sits at 4-2. As for Ceres, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Livingston will head out to face off against Beyer at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Livingston knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Beyer likes a good challenge. As for Ceres, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Johansen at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Johansen has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.75 runs per game on average), something Ceres will no doubt try to take advantage of.
