After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Burlington-Edison, Nooksack Valley was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Anacortes Seahawks with a sharp 17-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Pioneers, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Alayna Vanieperen and Payton Bartl made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Vanieperen tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
