For the first time this season, Mountain House will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out to challenge the Central Catholic Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Central Catholic will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Mountain House extended their winning streak to five on Tuesday. The Mustangs blew past Beyer 27-8. The Mustangs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Cassidy Townsley
| 03/10/26 @ Beyer | 2 |
| 03/05/26 @ Escalon | 1 |
| 04/24/25 vs Stagg | 1 |
| 03/06/25 vs Livingston | 1 |
Cassidy Townsley was incredible, going 4-for-6 with two triples, five RBI, and two runs. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Madison Smith also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Mountain House kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 25 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in eight consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Central Catholic came out on top against East Union on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run first inning. The Raiders never let the Lancers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.
Stephanie Garcia tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Central Catholic let Samantha Nichols and Paige Perry run wild. Nichols went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Perry went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Nichols is also crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Ceriah Fitzhugh was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.
Mountain House's record now sits at 5-1. As for Central Catholic, their record is now 5-3.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Mountain House hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .525. However, it's not like Central Catholic struggles in that department as they've averaged .357. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Mountain House might still be hurting after the 19-3 loss they got from Central Catholic in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
