The result was an unpleasant reminder to Clear Springs of the 51-35 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Several Chargers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaitlyn DeBondt, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and four blocks. DeBondt has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Amirah Gray, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Clear Falls' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kyndall King, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Sofia Martin, who scored nine points.
Clear Springs has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-24 record this season. As for Clear Falls, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-16.
Clear Springs will take on Brazoswood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brazoswood is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Clear Falls, they will head out on the road to square off against Dickinson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dickinson is coming into the game hot, having won their last 14 games.
