West Scranton has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will  face off against the Scranton Prep Cavaliers at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. West Scranton's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5  runs per game  this season, so Scranton Prep's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
 West Scranton put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the  season  on Monday. Everything went their way against Valley View as West Scranton made off with  a  6-0 win.
  AJ Levandoski was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out 15 over 6.1 innings pitched. Levandoski has been consistent recently: he hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in four consecutive pitching appearances. Levandoski was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Anderson Hidalgo was  incredible,  going 1-for-2 with a  home run, two  runs,  and a  stolen base.  Samson Repshis was another key contributor,  going 2-for-3 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Scranton Prep narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past Scranton  4-2.
 Like West Scranton, Scranton Prep also got a great game from a two-way player:  Roman Valvano. He  tossed  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (he also didn't allow any  walks). Valvano was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Zander Condeelis, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 West Scranton's record now sits at 5-3. As for Scranton Prep,  the  win  got them back to even at 3-3.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Wednesday as both teams have some strikeout artists on the roster. West Scranton has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 10  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Scranton Prep struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 7.7. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
 West Scranton was able to grind out a solid  victory over Scranton Prep when the teams last played  back in May of 2023, winning  11-7. Will West Scranton repeat their success,  or does  Scranton Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
