Freeport is a perfect 7-0 against Destin since February of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bulldogs will square off against the Sharks at 5:00 p.m. Destin took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Freeport, who comes in off a win.
Freeport barely beat Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Jaguars with a sharp 19-3 win on Wednesday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Kaylee Carroll was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one RBI.
In other batting news, Freeport got a massive performance out of Annsleigh Withey, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Withey has posted since back in March. Kayla Stephens was another key player, going 4-for-6 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
Freeport kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Destin fell victim to Holmes County and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 12-0 to the Blue Devils. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Sharks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Destin has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season. As for Freeport, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Freeport hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .340. However, it's not like Destin struggles in that department as they've averaged .352. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Freeport took their victory against Destin in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 13-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
