The Hilliard Davidson Wildcats lost against the Dublin Jerome Celtics back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Hilliard Davidson fell 41-34 to the Celtics. While losing is never fun, Hilliard Davidson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 313th, while the Celtics are ranked 78th).
Hilliard Davidson's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Yuli Dowell, who scored ten points. Dowell is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Wile, who scored 11 points.
Lauren Ludwig had an outrageously good game for Dublin Jerome as she scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Anna Rindler, who scored four points along with six steals.
Hilliard Davidson has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Dublin Jerome, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-6.
Hilliard Davidson will be playing at home against the Shamrocks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dublin Jerome, they will head out on the road to square off against the Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Olentangy Berlin is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
