The Bellbrook Golden Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 61-52 to Franklin. If Bellbrook hoped to take revenge for the 50-37 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Kai Cook continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Franklin, scoring 23 points along with two steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Cook has scored at least a third of Franklin's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Murphy, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Bellbrook has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Franklin, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bellbrook will take on Monroe at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Monroe and Bellbrook are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Franklin, they will head out on the road to face off against Ross at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
