The Snook Christian Academy Eagles will head out on the road to take on the South Choctaw Academy Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Snook Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Snook Christian Academy and Jackson Academy, and Snook Christian Academy kept the tradition alive. He is becoming a predictor of Snook Christian Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-6 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Snook Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Landon Rubel, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave Rubel a new career-high in hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Thad Scott, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Snook Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .578. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, South Choctaw Academy fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Patrician Academy last Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They came up short against the Saints, falling 10-4. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
JT Railey put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 6.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Railey was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-5.
Snook Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 12.2 runs. South Choctaw Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
South Choctaw Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Snook Christian Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .319. It's a different story for South Choctaw Academy, though, as they've only averaged .188. Will they be able to contain Snook Christian Academy's hitters?
Snook Christian Academy couldn't quite get it done against South Choctaw Academy when the teams last played back in March of 2024 as they fell 9-6. Can Snook Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
