The Covenant Classical Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They claimed a resounding 68-19 win over Sheets Memorial Christian on the road. Covenant Classical has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 28 points or more this season.
Covenant Classical was led to victory by Ava Gromis and Jacie Kirwin. Gromis scored 16 points, while Kirwin scored 18 points. Jada Daniel was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Sheets Memorial Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kayla Burch, who scored ten points along with three steals. That was a full 52.6% of Sheets Memorial Christian's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Covenant Classical has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Sheets Memorial Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-17.
Covenant Classical will head out on the road to take on Grace Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Covenant Classical is coming into the contest with four straight wins on the road, so Grace Academy is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Sheets Memorial Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Gospel Light Christian at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully Gospel Light Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Friday.
