Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Arcadia Valley likes a good challenge.
Central put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Fredericktown 70-38 on the road. Given Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Fredericktown is ranked 365th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Central's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Caden Casey, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds and five steals, and Jobe Bryant, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine assists. Bryant is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 16 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zack Boyd, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Arcadia Valley was the victim of a tough 57-33 defeat at the hands of Farmington on Tuesday. Arcadia Valley has struggled against Farmington recently, as their game on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Central's win bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Arcadia Valley, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Everything came up roses for Central against Arcadia Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 83-43 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Arcadia Valley's Dillon Mueller, who scored 26 points along with three steals.
