The Iraan Braves''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 28-13 fall against Water Valley. Iraan was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Water Valley apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Cole Bowman threw for 87 yards and a touchdown while completing 72.2% of his passes. Angel Zapata was his top target, picking up 32 receiving yards and no touchdowns. On the ground, Tristan Griffin rushed for 83 yards.
Iraan has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Water Valley, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Iraan will stay at home for another week and welcome Eldorado at 7:30 p.m. on October 27th. Water Valley will take on McCamey at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
