The Indianapolis Washington Continentals lost against the Indianapolis Shortridge Blue Devils back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Indianapolis Washington was outmatched by Indianapolis Shortridge on the road and fell 62-28.
Despite the loss, Indianapolis Washington still got an impressive performance from Malaysha Flanagan, who scored 13 points. The matchup was Flanagan's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ta'Laya Peterson, who scored six points.
Indianapolis Washington now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Indianapolis Shortridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Indianapolis Washington and Indianapolis Crispus Attucks will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Indianapolis Shortridge will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Northside L at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
