The Kokomo Wildkats stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They really took it to Harrison for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-42 victory on the road. Winning may never get old, but Kokomo sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Kokomo's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Karson Rogers, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Rogers is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Reis Beard, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Despite the loss, Harrison still got an impressive performance from Malachi King, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Harrison struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Kokomo pushed their record up to 12-3 with that victory, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Harrison, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.
Kokomo will be playing at home against Muncie Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Muncie Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 144th, while Kokomo is ranked 11th). Harrison won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Benton Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 13th. Benton Central is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
