ISchool of Lewisville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 61-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of R.W. Goines Stem Academy. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Saturday (55), iSchool of Lewisville still had to take the loss.
David Iweze put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four blocks. The match was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Frankie Chiakpo, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Texas Alliance of Christian Athletes sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 64-62 win over Southwest Christian School on December 12th. The win was all the more spectacular given Texas Alliance of Christian Athletes' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 277th, while Southwest Christian School is ranked 134th).
ISchool of Lewisville has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Texas Alliance of Christian Athletes, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season.
Everything came up roses for iSchool of Lewisville against Texas Alliance of Christian Athletes in their previous meeting back in January of 2021 as the squad secured a 101-68 victory.
