The GVCS Broadfording Lions will head out on the road to square off against the Grace Academy Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. GVCS Broadfording is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
GVCS Broadfording managed to keep up with the Blue Storm until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. GVCS Broadfording ended up on the wrong side of a tough 75-52 walloping at the hands of the Blue Storm. While losing is never fun, GVCS Broadfording can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 121st in Maryland, while the Blue Storm are ranked ninth in Pennsylvania).
Meanwhile, Grace Academy came up short against the Flames on Friday and fell 45-33.
GVCS Broadfording's defeat dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Grace Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-4.
Everything went GVCS Broadfording's way against the Knights in their previous matchup back in January as the Lions made off with a 55-32 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for GVCS Broadfording since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
